The History Museum of Lithuania Minor collects, preserves, researches and presents the historical and cultural heritage of Klaipėda, the Klaipėda Region and Lithuania Minor. Its collections explore the region’s prehistory and archaeology, urban life, ethnic culture, books, numismatics and 20th-century history.
The institution brings together the main museum on Didžioji Vandens Street, the Castle Museum, Museum 39/45, the Blacksmith’s Museum, the Sculpture Park and the Resistance and Deportation Exposition. Visitors can discover permanent and temporary exhibitions, guided tours, educational activities and events that bring the history of Klaipėda and the wider coastal region to life.
