Sąjudžio parkas
Located in the southern part of Klaipėda, between Laukininkų and Varpų streets, Sąjūdis Park is a spacious green area for active recreation, family time and relaxing walks. The park was established in 2008 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Reform Movement of Lithuania and was extensively renovated in 2018.
The park features one of Lithuania's largest BMX, skateboarding and roller-skating areas, as well as an outdoor gymnastics zone, walking and cycling paths, a small amphitheatre and ponds connected by bridges. Children can enjoy playgrounds and outdoor musical instruments, with some facilities designed to be accessible for children with mobility disabilities.
For a slower pace, visitors can enjoy green spaces, benches and picnic tables. At the heart of the park stands a flower-like sculpture created by sculptor Stasys Mišeikis and architect Romas Marčius, serving as a symbol of freedom and remembrance.
