ANYANYA & MEDA | ŠIAULIAI BIG BAND
“THESE ARE OUR BEST EVENINGS”
Immerse yourself in a whirlwind of music and festive spirit, where you’ll experience the best emotions! The stage at the Fishermen’s Hall will feature two singers with exceptional voices—the one-of-a-kind ANYANYA and the charming MEDA—whose songs will sound especially special this time, accompanied by the ŠIAULIAI BIG BAND.
ANYANYA UDONGWO AND MEDA BORISAITĖ are one of the most successful duos on the Lithuanian music scene in recent years. This duo was formed on the LNK television show “Star Duets: A New Era,” where they instantly won over the hearts of viewers. Anyanya, the winner of the 10th season of “The Voice of Lithuania” and a finalist in the national “Eurovision” selection, is acclaimed for his powerful, soul-stirring voice and incredible vocal range. He masterfully performs music across a wide range of genres. Meda is a talented singer of the younger generation, distinguished by her exceptional vocal timbre, elegance, and ability to forge a deep emotional connection with the audience. On the show “Star Duets,” she complemented Anyanya perfectly, and their harmony became the duo’s signature. Following their success on television, Anyanya and Meda embarked on a concert tour of Lithuania titled “Dueto magija,” which was a huge hit and played to completely sold-out venues.
THE ŠIAULIAI BIG BAND is the most famous jazz and professional music ensemble in Northern Lithuania. Since 2015, it has been led by the charismatic musical maestro RAITIS AŠMANIS from Latvia. The orchestra performs more than just the classic jazz and swing repertoire. The big band constantly experiments with soul, rhythm and blues, rock, and contemporary pop music genres, and has prepared joint concert programs with renowned Lithuanian jazz and popular music artists. At the festive concert “THESE ARE OUR BEST EVENINGS” the Šiauliai Big Band’s arrangements and the rhythmic waves enriched by brass instruments will lend an incredible sonic depth to Anyanya and Meda’s performance. The dance group “JAZZ HAPPENS” will enhance the artists’ numbers with movement and elegance.
