Indrė Launikonytė, one of Lithuania’s most prominent vocal teachers and performers, invites listeners on a unique musical journey—the “The Age of Rock: The Most Beautiful Ballads” concert series. This acoustic evening will feature legendary rock songs, reborn through unique arrangements.
For many years, Indrė Launikonytė has captivated audiences not only with her exceptional voice and technical vocal mastery, but also with her ability to convey inner authenticity through music. The singer says that rock music has always been special to her—it’s a genre that allows her to express the widest range of emotions and vocal nuances.
“I’ve always felt that rock music is one of the richest genres in terms of its tonal variety. When I sing rock songs, I feel a broader range of vocal timbres unfolding naturally—more so than in any other musical style. It feels as though the music unfolds within me into countless layers, like some kind of matrix—no other musical style makes me feel this deeply. “My heart beats to the rhythm of rock music,” says the singer.
At the concert “The Age of Rock: The Most Beautiful Ballads,” the audience will hear songs by legendary bands and artists such as Queen, Scorpions, “Roxette,” Tina Turner, Bon Jovi, “Nirvana,” AC/DC, and many others, which will take on a fresh sound this evening.
“The concert will feature the most beautiful classic, glam, pop, and hard rock songs from various eras of rock, performed in an acoustic style. I think every audience member will leave this evening with their favorite song. I’m certain the evening will be very genuine and heartfelt, because that’s what rock music is all about—and that’s who I am,” says Indrė.
The music of Queen will hold a special place in the concert. Perhaps the most important song of the evening for Indrė herself is the legendary “The Show Must Go On.” It’s one of the first songs the singer remembers from her childhood.
“It was summer; we’d come to visit my grandmother, and I spent my time in my parents’ car simply because the radio was playing there. When I heard ‘The Show Must Go On,’ the song’s melody, Freddie Mercury’s powerful voice, and the instrumental arrangement touched my heart. It was so beautiful to me; I just remember that little version of myself and the overwhelming impression it made on me. ‘The Show Must Go On’ has continued to accompany me through significant events in my life,” she recalls.
The singer believes this concert will be not only a musical but also an emotional experience, and she invites all listeners to be a part of it. “I really invite you to join us and draw energy from the timeless power of rock music,” Indrė smiles.
