CHARITY CONCERT to support the construction of the “Miesto angelas” Community Center and the operations of the Klaipėda Home for Infants with Developmental Disabilities
Guests at this charity evening will be treated to an energetic and heartfelt performance by Džordana Butkutė, the queen of the Lithuanian stage, featuring her most popular hits—songs that have accompanied entire generations as they grew up. Every song will turn into a communal sing-along, and the energy of the audience will fill the entire hall. This is a unique opportunity not only to hear your favorite songs but also to contribute, through your presence, to the support projects and community service efforts carried out by the Rotary Club “Klaipėda.” Spend an autumn evening doing something meaningful—with songs everyone knows and a cause that unites us all.
Officially founded in 1992, the Rotary Club of Klaipėda was the first Rotary club reestablished in Western Lithuania after the restoration of independence and one of the first in Lithuania. The club’s founding was actively supported by Rotary clubs in Sweden, which became its sponsors and helped it integrate into the international Rotary community.
From its very first years, the Rotary Club of Klaipėda has based its activities on the Rotary motto “Service Above Self.” The Rotary Club of Klaipėda became the foundation for the expansion of the Rotary movement in western Lithuania. Its initiatives and members later gave rise to new Rotary clubs in Klaipėda and the surrounding region. The club has actively contributed to strengthening the Rotary organization in Lithuania and has participated in international projects and Rotary Foundation programs.
The Rotary Club of Klaipėda cherishes its long-standing traditions while seeking new ways to contribute to the well-being of the community. The club’s history demonstrates that Rotary’s greatest strength lies in its people—who, through their professional experience, ideas, and actions, are building a better Klaipėda and Lithuania.
The funds raised during this charity event organized by the Rotary Club of Klaipėda will be allocated to the construction of the “Miesto angelas” Community Center and to support the operations of the Klaipėda Home for Infants with Developmental Disabilities.
