Klaipėdos koncertų salė

Klaipėda Concert Hall is located in a historic building whose origins are closely connected with the city's marksmen's association. In 1841, the organisation acquired land here, established a shooting range and soon built its headquarters along today's Šaulių Street. Over the years, the complex continued to grow. A garden, an orchestra pavilion and a small glass pavilion were created behind the main building. By the end of the 19th century, the building had been reconstructed and decorated, with a large hall and stage added inside. It became home to the largest concert hall in Klaipėda at the time, hosting concerts, celebrations, social gatherings and major city events. During certain periods, its cultural programme even rivalled that of the city's theatre. Today, Klaipėda Concert Hall continues the site's long musical tradition and remains one of the city's leading venues for professional music.
