Description

Where does a voice capable of filling the world’s greatest concert halls come from? “Jong Scala,” which has grown out of the tradition of the Belgian choir “Scala & Kolacny Brothers,” opens the door to a world where the talent of young performers is shaped through daily work, creative curiosity, and professional stage experience. It is not just a vocal ensemble; here, the voice becomes part of a broader artistic whole that combines music, movement, light, and stage dramaturgy. Bringing together singers aged 13–17, “Jong Scala” continues the artistic direction of the internationally acclaimed ensemble “Scala & Kolacny Brothers,” renowned for its subtle interpretations of pop and rock music with a distinctive choral sound. The pieces performed in their programs become new stories with meticulously refined arrangements. The program being presented in Lithuania will mark an important international step for these young singers, for which they have been preparing for months, aiming to convey not only the music but also the core idea of “Scala”: to rediscover every piece. The “Jong Scala” concert offers the opportunity to hear how this tradition of choral singing is being passed on to a new generation. On stage, the young performers combine discipline, vocal precision, and youthful energy, and their program reminds us that a choir can be not only a classical music ensemble but also a contemporary, vibrant form of performing arts.
