In a French province, the conflict between farmers and hunters reaches a boiling point. Huge herds of wild boars are ravaging the crops, and in the heat of the dispute, Bruno, a farmer on the verge of bankruptcy, grabs a gun and disappears without a trace. A year later, police officer Fulda, along with psychologist Stefana, begins investigating the incident. Fulda, still struggling to cope with a recent divorce, transferred from his old job for being overly dedicated, and teetering on the edge of sanity himself, takes on this investigation in defiance of local conventions. As the hidden side of a local conflict comes to light, the portrait of this town full of secrets turns into a wildly dark comedy.
