Light lives within each of us, even if life has been difficult.
This is a magnificent play about the power of memory and about a man who never stops believing in the light, about how light inevitably triumphs over darkness, and how, even in the most difficult situations, fate sends good people and salvation.
A play about memory, about the strength of the spirit, and about the light that lives within every person.
Because this is one of those artistic moments you simply cannot miss!
“My Father” is a rare guest on the Lithuanian stage. It is highly sought after abroad and has won numerous “Grand Prix” awards at prestigious theater festivals!
Sometimes theater becomes more than just a performance. This evening will remain in your memory for a long time. Because goodness is truly stronger than fate. It turns into a heartfelt conversation—quiet, sincere, and very personal.
Aleksandras Rubinovas is an actor with an extraordinary life story. Having endured pain and trials, he never lost his faith in goodness. This is a play about memory, about love, about a man who never lost his humanity, even in the darkest of times.
A. Rubinov was born on September 17, 1956, in Vilnius. An actor, director, and teacher, he is a man for whom theater was never just a profession, but a way to connect with people about what matters most.
For many years, he performed at the Kaunas Drama Theater, directed more than twenty plays, and created several documentary films. His work has always stood out for its unique sincerity, its attentiveness to the human soul, and its desire to find light even in the most difficult situations.
For many years, he taught acting at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, nurturing a new generation of artists who care about the spoken word, the stage, and the audience just as much as he does in his own work.
He has won numerous prestigious theater awards, including the 8th International “Monocle” Theater Festival and the “Fortuna” Award.
After the performance, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase Stanislovas Rubinovas’ book *In the Forest and on Stage* and get an autograph from Aleksandras Rubinovas.
