When the large-scale invasion of Ukraine began, Russian soldiers seized the Chernobyl power plant. After turning the area into a military base, they attempted to capture Kyiv, located just a few hundred kilometers away. Their criminal activities in the radioactive area were captured by surveillance cameras secretly operated by Ukrainians working at the power plant. “Special Operation” documents the events of the war, and every frame of this film serves as evidence of the war crimes committed by Russian soldiers. The film’s world premiere took place
at the Berlin International Film Festival.
